5 Things to do in Bali alone.
There are tons of things you can do in Bali on your own, from enjoying a Bintang while sitting quietly at the beach to trying some water sports. Here are our recommendations:
- Take a few surf lessons. Bali is the perfect place to start your surf journey. If you are a beginner or have some skills, we’ll take you to the next level.
- Do some yoga and recharge your batteries. Surf and yoga are often liked together as disciplines that help reconnecting with your inner self. At Mondo you can join our relaxing yoga classes in the morning or afternoon, where you can train your flexibility.
- Go on a hiking route across the “jungle”. Mount Batur is the island’s volcano and has around 1,700 m high. The best way to explore the volcano is to hike to the top before sunrise, and once you reach the top you’ll have a stunning view.
- Go visit Bali’s most popular temples. There are plenty of ancient Balinese temples here in Bali (Ulu watu, Tanah Lot, Goa Gajah, etc.). Here at Mondo, we take you to some of the most popular spots (on request) on Sundays. You choose where to go!
- Try Indonesian food at a local Warung. At Mondo Village we offer a delicious selection of Indonesian food. However, we always recommend dining out in a local warung (traditional Balinese eatery).
4 Best touristy spots in Bali
- Tanah Lot temple. Just 20 mins drive from Mondo and 30 km from Denpasar, which was built in the 16th century.
- Uluwatu Temple. One of the most beautiful temples, we recommend watching the Kecak dance (evening).
- Monkey Forest. The sacred temple of monkeys in Ubud. You can’t leave the country without stopping here.
- Jatiluwih Rice Terraces. Bali has many rice fields, but Jatiluwih is, without any doubts, the most beautiful one.
Now that you know where to go and what to do, here we share some tips on how to make the most of your stay while in the island.
